Honda has enjoyed a lot of success on the track and in the showrooms with their TRX450R so when they release an entirely new machine it warrants taking a look. The nasty-looking 2006 TRX450R is designed around an all new electric-start version of the CRF450R and CRF450X powerplant that is stuffed to the gills with a forged slipper piston, a 12.0:1 compression ratio and a new free-flowing exhaust system that keeps the noise in check while improving power delivery. Honda claims it will turn 9850rpm so it should be powerful enough to keep the opposition at bay. It is available in both electric and kick-start versions.
Add into the mix a long list of suspension component revisions and a wicked new look and it would be a safe bet that this TRX will be even more popular than the model it replaces.
